WHAT SSD WANTS TO DO IN THE FUTURE:
THREE BRANCHES:
PERFORMANCE:
-Continue to bring both in-person and online performance programming reflective of the social topics relevant to our time.
-Provide opportunities for outside choreographic voices to be heard through collaborative series, headliner performances, and informal showings.
-Support our dancers who represent a wide demographic range to help sustain their living, encouraging more dancers to live and reside in Pittsburgh, and create an encouraging artistic platform for our artists to thrive.

EDUCATION:
-Bring our personal expertise to after school programming blending both new technology education with dance education through VDEP Educational Outreach.
-To facilitate adult classes based on movement wellness: fitness classes based on pilates/yoga training, professional dance development classes to continue outside training for dancers, and adult open classes to stimulate the love of dance and movement to the adult population with differently abled bodies.
-To create a low level technology space to offer new technology workshops through our tech collaborators XRconnectED on a regional scale, allowing access to technology which most dancers wouldn't readily be able to engage with.

DANCE COMMUNITY:
-To provide discounted rehearsal space to fellow artistic members in the dance community here in Pittsburgh.
-To provide artistic residency opportunities for outside artists to come to Pittsburgh on a short term basis and collaborate with Pittsburgh-based artists.
-To be a center for outside dance choreographers/companies by offering classes from multiple teachers in the community where they can shape their class the way they want.
