The January Challenge
Registration open Dec 1-January 15.
We're doing things a little differently this year!
The January Challenge exists for anyone wanting to participate in creating a new work or re-examining an old work of choreography. No matter what style your dance medium is, we want you to use the choreographic prompts to challenge yourself in new ways, examining habits, and pushing your boundaries! Dance films are accepted, though only three will be accepted based on a first come-first served basis.
The idea is...we want you to create a short piece or a seed idea and we want to see your work!
Choreographic prompts will be given bi-weekly from January 8-January 31 to encourage choreographic process.
We want to see your progress and how these prompts change or affect your work via social media!
You will have the opportunity to present this new work at the final studio performance.
All pieces must be under 5 minutes in length.
Final Performance:
Saturday February 17, 7:30pm
Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre
2900 Liberty Ave
Pittsburgh PA 15201
Registration open Dec 1-January 15.
